The Woodlands Township Patrol Division has eight beats, zones, or patrol areas of responsibility. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, The Woodlands Township Patrol Division, is committed to the Community and Tourism Oriented Policing model, demonstrating our core values of professionalism, accountability, compassion, and trust. Through a cooperative agreement, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office receives supplemental funding from The Woodlands Township. The Woodlands Township hosts many community-wide events, including several marathons, the Iron Man and parades, etc. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office works closely with The Woodlands Township, whose mission includes the protection of residents, visitors, and businesses. There is a growing Medical Center area home to four major hospitals providing trauma and medical care to patients. Also, the Lone Star College Montgomery Campus and the University Center provide the secondary educational environment and call The Woodlands Township their home. Additionally, there are a host of public elementary, intermediate, junior high, two large high schools, and five parochial and private preparatory school campuses. The Woodlands Township is home to many corporate offices and major retail areas, including The Woodlands Mall, Hughes Landing, Market Street, and cultural and entertainment venues such as The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and movie theaters. The Woodlands Township Patrol Division includes supervisors, patrol deputies, detectives, and dedicated crime prevention personnel. The Woodlands Township Patrol Division primarily patrols The Woodlands Township, which is roughly 44 square miles with an ever-growing population and is home to a myriad of businesses, entertainment, and cultural venues, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. The Woodlands Township Patrol Division lies in southern Montgomery County, along Interstate 45, and has Spring Creek and Harris County as the border to the South.
